Dave Thompson is United States “Serial Entrepreneur” with a total of more than 40 years of high technology and high-growth business expertise. He has personally competitively bid, won, and executed more than 150 advanced technology projects worth more than $1 Billion.
He is a Distinguished Graduate (Summa Cum Laude) of the US Air Force Academy in Electrical Engineering in 1978. He earned a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (computer design engineering track) from Stanford University in 1981.
Thompson and his companies have been listed twice on the Inc 500 List of America’s fastest-growing companies and he was a two-time Finalist for Ernst & Young’s United States National Entrepreneur of the Year. In 1999, his prior company, Spectrum Astro Inc., was named the Number 1 Small Business Defense Prime Contractor in the 7 Western US States, selected from more than 30,000 prime contractors in the region. He is a Fellow of the American Astronautical Society for his pioneering work in small satellites and a recipient of multiple NASA Awards for Achievements in space and technology projects.
